Features of the Huach River terrain north side.

The half part of the terrain is oriented to the north, It has approximately a length of 2,5 Kms, is represented by a narrow stripe that on the average is 100 meters wide of firm sand, discounting the Federal zone. 

The approximate area is about 20 hectares.

Vegetation in the northern side of Huach River

The vegetation is superficial, basically of chit palm, coconut and trees of the region, such as the canisté.  It  doesn't get flooded.  It maintains an unevenness  of 1,50 meters with respect to the sea.   

The back side of this strip, it has a mangrove curtain between 25-60 meters of wide ultil arriving to the Huach Lagoon. Through a proper environmental impact study, this area can be regularized with the authorities to integrate it to the terrain.

All the front side is sand. It's a beach without rocks.

Features of the Huach River south side

The other half part of the terrain is oriented to the South, it has length about 2.6 kilometers, and its deep is  360 meters from mainland, free of the Federal zone.

The approximated area is about 55 hectares

This zone has a density of 20 quarters per hectar and the land use is predominantly for tourism.

Vegetation in the South part of Huach River 

Its vegetation is very abundant, incudes chechén trees, chacá, sea grapes, chit palm, coconut and other region trees. It keeps a deep of 2.5 meters from the sea.

The back part of this strip keeps a mangrove curtain of 50-150 meters until getting to the Huach Lagoon. All the front part is full of sand, there are no rocks, just sand.

At present, it's about to realease the first review's results of the Costa Maya managment program (POET),  where basically the changes that were made, were increasing densities in some areas. A project ecologically supported, would facilitate a change on the densities, just in case it was needed.
